I've been wanting to teach myself how to make bags - all kinds. I've been making Mondo Bags and Zippy Strippy Bags for several years. At Threads of Tradition, the Sauder Village Quilt Shop, they had a sample up for a bag called The Hemingway Bag. This is a pattern from Center Street Quilts. As usual, when I start something new, I make way too many. But that's how I learn - if I do something over and over again, then I understand it. Anyway - I made many of these Hemingway Bags for Christmas gifts. They're great for electronic devices, because they zip across the top and the corners are highly padded. The extra large size is good for laptops (generally). The large size is good for ipads. And the medium size is good for kindles. Here's pictures of the ones I had fun making.
