Today I got to work on my quilt blocks from the quilt shop at Sauder Village block of the month program. We're using the pattern book called "Strawberry Garden" by Fig Tree Quilts. I made the 6 strawberry blocks. (2 for the requirements, 4 extra for the challenge). They were a challenge, but came out pretty well as long as I used a scant 1/4" seams.
The 2025 Festival of Quilts continues! Today are the quilts from Kristin P. The first is called Gratitude, a pattern by Laundry Basket Quilts using scrappy blue fabrics, The second is called Sparklers, a pattern also by Laundry Basket Quilts. The third is a log cabin sampler quilt - a block of the month from The Quilt Patch. The last is a quilt called Pieced Treasure, a quilt kit from the Sauder Village quilt shop.
The 2025 Festival of Quilts continues! This is something I do every year where I re-post pictures of all the quilts that I have quilted for the previous year. Today is a quilt from Julie M. It's called Crooked Four Patch and was from a class taken out at the Sauder Village quilt shop.
What's on the Quilting Frame? A beautiful quilt called Metro Rings by Peggy W. This is a pattern from Sew Kind of Wonderful and made during a class offered from the quilt shop Threads of Tradition at Sauder Village. Peggy chose the quilting pattern Large Spirals, which gives the quilt movement. Then we used a variegated black, gold, orange and green thread called Old Giza.
What's on the Frame Today? This is my variation of the Summer Moon block of the month from Sauder Village. I changed several things up, including adding colored frames around the blocks. I used a new quilting pattern called Doubled Hearts. Then I used a variegated peach thread called Valley of the Kings. This one's going to my daughter, when they visit from Massachusetts in 2 weeks. Yay!
Here's Barb S's "Mrs. Miller's Apprentice Quilt". This was a block of the month through the Sauder Village Quilt Shop. Barb chose the quilting pattern Winding Feathers. Then we used a flax colored thread. Just beautiful!
