What's on the Frame? My Echolocation quilt. I made this quilt for my aunt and uncle who are cavers. It was pieced with a combination of two different patterns: Basic Grey's Night Flight pattern and Pat Sloan's Bats 'n Boos 2021 quilt along. It was a happy accident, but when I pieced the bats and put the quilt together, all the bats were facing the same direction. So to me, it looks like the bats are flying out of the cave in the evening. My aunt named the quilt Echolocation, for how bats use sound waves to hunt for their food. I quilted it with a pattern that looks like sound waves. Then I used a variegated black and white thread called Rosetta Stone.
