I just purchased a "new" to me Singer Featherweight 221. She was manufactured in 1949. The original owner sewed with her and made quilts with her for many years, but because of a stroke, couldn't use her anymore. A wonderful lady, Pat, purchased her last year and restored, serviced her and just sold her to me! This beauty only weighs 11.2 pounds and my plan is to take her to all my retreats. I name my machines and this one I'm calling "Ora Bell". In honor of my great grandmother, who taught my grandmother how to make clothes and quilts.
