Quilting king size quilt of Dorothy J.

 I'm still working on Dorothy J's king size quilt. This morning I started quilting it. Dorothy chose Interlocking Feathers (always looks great!) and a White Linen thread to match the background fabric.

The process is:
* I quilt the first section. In the case of this pattern, that means 3 edge-to-edge passes.

* Then I release all the clamps and turn the quilt "sandwich" so that it rolls up on the back take up roller;

* I stop it and re-clamp everything;

* I have no computer on this machine - everything I do is hand guided. I follow the paper quilting pattern with a laser light. Now I have to re-adjust the laser light so that it is on the same place on the pattern as it was before I moved the machine;

* I make sure there are no wrinkles on the back;

 * I sew down both sides;

* I trim any loose threads that come up from the piecing;

* Then I can start quilting the next section.

Tomorrow I should have the quilt done. More pics then!
