Binding on the long arm

Here's something really cool - I just figured out that I can attach binding to the quilts, as I'm quilting them on the long-arm. Duh! I got the idea from an article in a current quilting magazine. It was so easy to do. Of course, it only works if you're going to sew down the back of the binding by hand. I can't believe I didn't think of this in 4 1/2 years of operating the long-arm machine. Good thing we have great quilting magazines! (In the picture, this is a quilt I made for my daughter - had to practice this technique on my own quilt first....)
