Batik McKenna

Here's a custom quilt we made for a client for her mom for Mother's Day. As I have mentioned in previous posts, sometimes I have the opportunity to purchase a quilt top from one of our local quilt shops. So this quilt top, I called "batik mckenna". But it was small and square - 67x67.



 Our client wanted it big enough to fit a full size bed. So we took off the original borders and added a softer bigger border to fit a bed. We also added a small pink inner border that really brought the quilt together.  



We quilted it with a pattern called "lots of leaves".
